Loveleen & Goshawn Chawla - Cinematic Punjabi Hindu Wedding Day Highlights

Loveleen & Goshawn Chawla - Cinematic Punjabi Hindu Wedding Day Highlights Video Clips. Duration : 10.32 Mins.

On November 11, 2011, Loveleen and Goshawn married on the outskirts of Chicago, Illinois. We were very much looking forward to returning to Chicago to cover another Indian wedding. When I first spoke with Goshawn, I instantly connected with him! I loved his enthusiasm for the the wedding, and for the video. After many conversations back and forth about the video, I was very excited when they decided to bring us on. Loveleen wore a beautiful fushia lehnga, embroidered with gold and platinum threading, and accented with rich burgundy velvet. The groom wore a traditional sherwani, off white with pink and gold accents. The groom arrived for his baraat at 10:00 am in a horse drawn carriage, with his friends and family dancing along with the dhol player. The milni is a Punjabi wedding tradition where all the heads of both families exchange garlands. The Punjabi Hindu ceremony followed. The royal looking mandap sat over the pool, creating a scenic setting for this union. Following the ceremony, the bride held her viddai ceremony, where her family officially say goodbye to her and give her away to her husband. The reception was held the following day at the India House Banquet Hall in Schaumburg, Illinois. I thought I had seen performances before, but this was something else! It seemed like everyone in the family had a little Bollywood flair!

Ensuring Picturesque Wedding Reception Halls

Do you know about - Ensuring Picturesque Wedding Reception Halls

Banquet Halls! Again, for I know. Ready to share new things that are useful. You and your friends.

Before booking a wedding reception hall, that is in all significant points closely resembles that of your dream venue, you must consider several things.

What I said. It isn't outcome that the real about Banquet Halls. You check out this article for information on what you wish to know is Banquet Halls.

How is Ensuring Picturesque Wedding Reception Halls

We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from Banquet Halls.

You must be aware that most of the memorable and significant moments in your wedding day will happen during the reception party. Your photographer must capture these things.

Since the background for these moments will be the wedding reception hall of your choice, make sure to consult with your photographer first before booking it up. A picturesque reception venue will help the quality of your memorable wedding moments to be heightened.

However at odds the two priorities in choosing wedding reception halls can be, it is important to find a way to unite them. Get the photographs you want at the setting you appreciate and love.

As per expert photographers, here are several things to consider in achieving your purpose of having a picturesque wedding reception hall:

1. Lighting - when considering a reception venue, put good lighting high on your priority list. Once you have booked for the venue of your dreams, secure a written guarantee that they would cooperate with the photographer with regards to issues of reception lighting during the setting up day.

Most photographers opt for ambient light in order to capture elegantly the memorable moments during the reception.

Most photographers also depend upon natural light in a wedding reception hall in order to capture unplanned or unexpected moments during the reception.

Some also like that a wedding reception hall is flooded with lots of natural light streaming from windows during a late afternoon wedding. For night weddings, though, drama can be captured through lots of candlelights.

2. Personality - some photographers would be most comfortable shooting at wedding events even without good lighting as long as your wedding reception hall has great personality in it.

3. Schedule - photographers are always looking for the natural, unguarded and unplanned moments to capture in a wedding. It makes it doubly sentimental to be photographed in a truly poignant moment, a real moment.

Thus, if you are hiring a wedding coordinator to supervise the program in your reception, then make sure that she or he does not interfere too much with the photographer's purpose.

These are but a few salient points in finding the wedding reception hall you most appreciate and would be the best background for your most important photographed moments.

SANGEET | INDIAN WEDDING

SANGEET | INDIAN WEDDING Tube. Duration : 6.62 Mins.

A sangeet is a Punjabi (Indian/Pakistani) ceremony prior to the wedding. This event takes place two or three days before a wedding in a Banquet Hall or if a small affair, then at home. Ladies are the only people to take part in the event. Some men are present if they are close to the bride or groom. During this event ladies will sing traditional Indian songs, and joke around with guests. This event is also like a dinner and dance, because there is a lot of dancing and lots of food in banquet style. The Sangeet includes a good-natured ribbing of the couple's in-laws. Some Indian instruments like the dholki accompany the joking. The dholki is like a two-sided drum. The ceremony is also a good time for the wedding guests to get acquainted with each other. Sometimes the bride and groom will choose to hold a separate Sangeet to Ladies' Sangeet. At this Sangeet both men and women can participate. It is a joyous occasion where the family and friends of the couple perform dances to celebrate the upcoming wedding. Wedding Reception Protocol - Who Says What and When?

Do you know about - Wedding Reception Protocol - Who Says What and When?

Banquet Halls! Again, for I know. Ready to share new things that are useful. You and your friends.

A wedding reception can be formal or informal, but you must make sure you do it right -- in other words you should follow the normal wedding reception protocol as that is what people will expect. Note however that the protocol is not as rigid as you might think, and can be regarded more as a set of guidelines. But what is the traditional wedding reception protocol?

What I said. It is not outcome that the actual about Banquet Halls. You check out this article for info on an individual wish to know is Banquet Halls.

How is Wedding Reception Protocol - Who Says What and When?

We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from Banquet Halls.

A formal wedding reception is normally held in the restaurant of a hotel where facilities and staff are on-hand for a full sit-down meal -- sometimes still referred to as the "wedding breakfast". An informal reception with a buffet menu can be a less expensive option.

When the guests arrive at the reception, they should be greeting by a receiving line. This is normally the bride's mother and father, the bridegroom's mother and father, the bride, and finally the groom -- in that order. If there is a large number of guests you might want to simply have the bride and groom welcoming the guests.

Guests are then normally presented with a drink, and when everyone has arrived they can start to look for their name cards in the dining area. The bride and groom should have sorted all this out well in advance, and the only point of protocol here is that at a formal wedding reception there is normally a top table for the principal members of the wedding party.

At some point the cake is normally cut -- this is either at the end or part-way through. The bride holds the knife in her right hand, with the groom's right hand on hers, and then the bride's left hand on top of that. This is a big photo opportunity and the couple will have to stand in that position with a smile on their faces for several minutes! The cake is then whisked away by the restaurant staff to be cut up ready to be given out at the end of the reception as people are leaving. You may want to rescue the top tier to save for the christening of the first-born.

After the cake-cutting comes the highlight of the reception: the speeches.

The first to speak is the bride's father. He will normally say a few words and then propose the main toast: "Health and happiness to the bride and bridegroom" (or something similar).

The bridegroom then responds, thanking the bride's parents and the guests, and he ends by proposing a toast to the health of the bridesmaids.

The best man then speaks, replying for the bridesmaids, reading out the congratulatory cards and telegrams. The best man will also relate some stories about the groom (and bride, if they are friends too).

That is it as far as tradition is concerned but, if they wish, the bride, bride's mother, and the maid of honor (chief bridesmaid) can all make speeches -- but it is best to check with the bride and groom first.

Any and all of the speeches can be serious or humorous, but giving a speech is a high-stress activity for many people. You may want to consider using a pre-written speech. This is worth considering, and there are several web sites offering such material, and you can edit what they give you to make it completely suitable and applicable to your wedding reception. Getting someone else to do the work is not only a great time-saver, but relieves you of the large amount of stress -- and you can have confidence that what they give you will work. Such pre-written speech templates can be bought for next to nothing -- and trust me: paying for them is worth it as they have been created and honed by professionals.

If there is to be dancing, the bride and groom are first on the floor. they are followed by the maid of honor and the best man, and then members of both families.

At some point the bride and groom will slip away to change into "normal" clothes and will then return to say good-bye before heading off on their honeymoon. Just before they leave, the bride throws her bouquet into the air -- and tradition has it that the female to catch it is next in line for marriage. Sometimes the groom will toss the bride's garter to the men, and the one who catches it is then expected to place it on the leg of the girl who caught the bouquet.

The bride and groom then get into a car that has been decorated by other guests and drive off into the sunset for their honeymoon and the rest of their lives together.

Finally, remember that the whole point of the wedding is for the benefit of the bride and groom, and that wedding reception protocol is, after all, just a set of guidelines. It's what the guests will be expecting, so if you plan to deviate from tradition it's probably best to let everyone know in advance so as to avoid disappointment.

Plan it carefully, then relax and enjoy yourselves!

Wedding Gig Log - Aug 1st

Wedding Gig Log - Aug 1st Video Clips. Duration : 9.95 Mins.

Today, I am DJing the wedding of Andy & Oma at Qssis Banquet Hall in Scarborough, ON. Mostly Guyanese and some East Indian guests as well. With the help of amazing DJ, Wilson, 230 guests danced the night away to Soca, Calypso, Chutney, Reggae and a few oldies mixed in for good measure. They were most pleased with the music and the MCing which provided. The kissing games during dinner, the interactive Centrepiece Game, all were well received by all. In fact, the B&G's fathers insisted I join them at the bar for a shot and thanked me profusely several times throughout the night. I have to admit, I did very little DJing as DJ Wilson was in his element and Rocked the party from start to finish and I just collected the accolades ... LOL

Wedding Reception - 42 Questions To Ask The Reception Venue Manager

Do you know about - Wedding Reception - 42 Questions To Ask The Reception Venue Manager

Banquet Halls! Again, for I know. Ready to share new things that are useful. You and your friends.

When reviewing wedding reception sites, it helps to come equipped with the questions you need answered before making your decision. Here is what you will need to find out from your reception site manager:

What I said. It isn't outcome that the true about Banquet Halls. You check out this article for information about anyone need to know is Banquet Halls.

How is Wedding Reception - 42 Questions To Ask The Reception Venue Manager

We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from Banquet Halls.

Costs Involved

First and foremost-you will need to determine the cost of holding your wedding reception at the site. Sounds like a given, right? You will discover that most reception sites break down their costs differently, and what may seem to be less expensive may wind up more costly once all of the figures are totaled. Avoid confusion by requesting an itemized list of fees-or take this one with you-and tally the costs of each fee and service you will most likely use for your event. (Have an idea of your guest count beforehand-this will influence the estimated costs) Then you can compare your lists to accurately determine which site is the most cost effective for your needs.

Already confused? Not to worry-we have compiled a complete list of typical costs and fees charged by wedding reception sites. If the facility does not provide one of these services, such as an onsite caterer, factor in the estimated cost of contracting the service from an outside vendor when tallying your total expenses.

Questions to ask:

o What is the facility rental fee?

o What is the cost-for food? (sites typically offer more than one menu package; determine which menu package you will most likely utilize for your wedding reception-and use that amount in determining your estimate.)

o What is the cost-for beverage? (save time by having an idea of what beverage package you would like to serve, whether a full bar, limited bar or non-alcoholic bar)

o If you can hold your ceremony on site, what is the ceremony fee?

o What is the set-up/break-down fee? (some sites charge per chair, others charge a lump sum)

o What is the staffing fee? (including bartenders, waiters etc.)

o What is the overtime fee?

o Is there a fee for security personnel?

o Is there a fee for parking or valets?

Packages

Just when you think you've got a handle on the costs involved in renting a reception site, a facility offers a complete wedding package. Wedding packages can be both cost-effective and convenient, as long as you take care to inquire about exactly what is and what is not included in the package.

Also remember to inquire about the exact descriptions of the items included in the package. For instance-if you have your heart set on an elaborately adorned 5 tiered fondant cake and the package only offers your basic buttercream-the package may not be for you - no matter what the potential savings.

Ask the site manager:

o What is included in the wedding package? Make sure all the basics are included:

o Facility Rental?

o Food and Beverage?

o Ceremony on site?

o Set up and Break down?

o Staffing?

Other items that may or may not be included:

o Cake? (if so, how many does it serve? Can you customize the design?)

o Flowers? (does the package include all floral, or just buffet arrangements or bouquets? Can you customize the arrangements or do they only come in standard varieties?)

o Linens? (what do they look like? How many?)

o Is purchasing the wedding package a requirement? (Many facilities allow brides the option of purchasing the entire package, purchasing a partial package and eliminating specific items or foregoing the wedding package altogether.)

Services

Determine what essential services the reception site provides and what you must contract from an outside vendor:

o Is there an in-house caterer or a list of preferred caterers? If so, are they the exclusive caterers, or can you provide your own?

o Are there on-site kitchen facilities? (off-site caterers will charge extra if they have to bring their own stoves and refrigerators)

o Does the reception site have a list of recommended vendors? Access to a list of vendors with working relationships and knowledge of the site will prove extremely beneficial during the planning process.

o Can you hold your ceremony on site? If not, are there suitable locations nearby?

o Does the reception site provide staff such as an on-site coordinator, waiters and bartenders?

o Does the reception site provide items such as tables, chairs, plates and glasses? (remember, renting these things yourself can drive up costs)

o Does the reception site provide adequate parking space or valets? What are the costs involved?

o Does the reception site provide on-site security. What are the costs involved?

Amenities

Some important extras that may help you determine the perfect venue for your wedding reception:

o Are there changing rooms for the bridal party?

o Does the facility provide guest accommodations or are their convenient locations nearby?

o Is there a bar area or can one be set up?

o Are there picturesque locations for photo opportunities? Both inside and out?

o Is there a dance floor?

o Are there sufficient restroom facilities?

o Is there, or can you set up, a coat room?

o Is the facility in a desirable location? Consider the view and any potential noise interruptions. Is it easy to get to? Is it close to any nearby attractions? (keep your guests entertained for the entire weekend!)

Terms

Don't forget the conditions of the contract! Make sure it meets your needs.

o What is the length of the facility rental? Is there an overtime fee if your wedding reception lasts longer?

o Do you have use of the entire reception site? If not - what areas can your party use?

o What is the deposit and when is the remainder due?

o What is the cancellation policy?

o Does the site have any music or noise restrictions?

o Are there any decorating restrictions?

o Will there be another party during, before or after yours? If so, how will this affect your event?

I hope you will get new knowledge about Banquet Halls. Where you may put to use in your daily life. And just remember, your reaction is Banquet Halls.Read more.. Things You Need To Do In The Final Week Before Your Wedding Day

Do you know about - Things You Need To Do In The Final Week Before Your Wedding Day

Banquet Halls! Again, for I know. Ready to share new things that are useful. You and your friends.

It's seven days (or less) before the big day. You likely have a host of last-minute details that need to be attended to. It's going to be a very busy week but do try to schedule some "me" time as well. Now is the time to enlist the help of family and friends to help you finalize your arrangements. Confirm your travel arrangements for your honeymoon, give the caterer a final head count of guests, go over your arrangements with the following: photographer, band or DJ, and limousine company. The reservations for the rehearsal dinner need to be confirmed at this point.

What I said. It is not outcome that the true about Banquet Halls. You check this out article for home elevators an individual want to know is Banquet Halls.

How is Things You Need To Do In The Final Week Before Your Wedding Day

We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from Banquet Halls.

The time to pack your bag for your honeymoon is early in the week before the wedding. Later on, and especially the day of the ceremony, you will be far too busy to attend to this. By the same token, take the time to confirm all your travel arrangements(including accommodation and method of transportation) and get your travel documents in order (if required).

The caterer you have chosen will require a final head count in order to prepare meals for your guests. Instead of assuming that those people who have not yet responded to your invitation are not coming to the wedding, have someone contact them to clarify whether or not they will be attending. This will eliminate the awkwardness of having additional guests to feed. You might also want to ask whether the caterer prepares a certain number of "extra" meals above the head count they are given.

You will also need to go over arrangements with your photographer, DJ or band members, and the limousine company if you have hired one. Go over what your expectations are for the day of the wedding and to confirm the schedule for the day's events. If there is a balance owing for any of these services, now is a good time to arrange payment of the same. In the event that you do not feel comfortable paying the balance in full before the wedding, let the service providers know that they will be paid on the wedding day and who will be responsible for delivering the balance to them. Be sure to ask the service providers what payment methods they accept so that you can prepare a separate envelope for each of them.

As the rehearsal dinner is generally held the night before the wedding, it is important to contact the venue for the dinner to confirm the date and time, as well as to let them know the number of people attending. Many couples take this opportunity to thank their parents and the members of the wedding party for all their help and support during engagement period. Take some time to plan what you would like to convey to these very important people in your life. It's not always easy to express your appreciation to those who matter the most - write a few notes to refer to, if you think it would be helpful. The last thing you want to do is to leave someone out.

It seems like there are a million and one details that need to be attended to during this time, but do schedule some time for you to do something you feel is relaxing. Get a massage, go to a movie, or take a walk or a drive, or go the gym. The important thing is to take a step back and do something for you. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to have a bridal meltdown.

In short, get organized and deal with the last-minute items that need to be confirmed before the big day. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Once you get the details confirmed, you can then step back, relax, and enjoy your special day.

I hope you obtain new knowledge about Banquet Halls. Where you may put to use in your evryday life. And most significantly, your reaction is Banquet Halls.Read more.. Floor collapses at wedding banquet in Jerusalem

Floor collapses at wedding banquet in Jerusalem Tube. Duration : 2.42 Mins.

This is amateur video of a floor collapsing while hundreds of people were celebrating at this wedding banquet at the Versailles Wedding Hall in Jerusalem. It occurred on May 24, 2001. 23 people were killed and nearly 400 were injured. Engineers discovered that the collapse was due to a last minute design change on a portion of the structure that was not designed to carry a live heavy load such as the nearly 100 dancing people. The report is presented by MSNBC's Greg Jarrett and Chris Jansing.

Remember, the above mentioned are considered proper etiquette for a traditional wedding but you should never be afraid to modify them, as fits your circumstances. With this information, you have a better sense of how to manage the budget without feeling bad about asking for assistance where required.

The goal with any wedding is to create a festive, fun, and memorable occasion. Therefore, while you can follow budget etiquette, the bride and groom's family should be flexible, willing to help when and where needed. For any couple, the goal to a successful wedding would be to start with careful planning, paying close attention to both small and large details.

One of the most uncomfortable aspects of a wedding is money. Keep in mind that some situations may be that, one side of the family is in a better financial position to assist than the other side. For the bride and groom, it is important to be realistic about the number of invited guests. As an example, the normal rules of etiquette for a wedding budget would be built around 150 to 200 guests. For this reason, when the guest list is greater, the bride and groom should be willing to help financially.

In summary, the bottom line is that wedding budget etiquette for any nuptials is not difficult but it does require some degree of flexibility. Establish a budget from the beginning, which will help the family work on a budget, as well. The result will be that everyone is on the same page about what to expect so the focus can be solely on the union of the bride and groom, ensuring the event is amazing and nothing less, regardless of the budget.

How to Start a Wedding Hall

Do you know about - How to Start a Wedding Hall

Banquet Halls! Again, for I know. Ready to share new things that are useful. You and your friends.

A wedding reception hall can be a fun and lucrative business venture when you carry out the proper amount of planning to start and operate it. Putting some thought into how you'll run the venue and rent out its space can be the primary determinant in whether or not your reception hall is booked regularly or empty weekend after weekend.

What I said. It is not outcome that the actual about Banquet Halls. You read this article for info on an individual need to know is Banquet Halls.

How is How to Start a Wedding Hall

We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from Banquet Halls.

Supplies Needed:

Facility with commercial kitchen

Tables and Chairs

Curtains and wall decor

Brochures

Step One:

Create an atmosphere that is conducive to the elegant and celebratory nature of weddings. Because your facility will be focused on wedding receptions, you should decorate the center in neutral colors with graceful artwork and finishing touches. This center should be functional, but it should also attract the eye of the bride looking for a beautiful venue.

Step Two:

Build relationships with vendors. Find vendors you can outsource to for the details you don't want to handle yourself. Some vendors include linen companies, party rental companies for tables and chairs, caterers, wait staff, flowers, bridal shops, party stores, etc. In order to build these relationships, make personal visits to the companies to leave information about your wedding reception business. Ask for any brochures or other information they can give you and pledge to pass it along to the brides and grooms with which you come in contact.

Step Three:

Create your rental packages. Put together different reception packages your clients can choose from. You may wish to offer a low, mid and high-level price point package as well as a la carte items customers can choose to add to their packages. Creating packages helps you to showcase what you can offer customers, and it can also help you stay focused on your offering. In a wedding reception center business, you may offer a basic package with just the hall, tables, chairs, and the use of the kitchen. A more all-inclusive package option might be one that includes catering services, linen rentals, an event coordinator, and other party details.

Step Four:

Apply for licensing and operating permits. Contact your city hall to inquire of the necessary permits. These will be unique from state to state and will cover requirements for the facility, food, liquor, and operations. This process may require inspections.

Step Five:

Hire staff. Generally, a wedding reception hall requires a manager, an event planner and one or two sales people. Higher volume reception halls may require more staff than ones with smaller volumes. Decide on what staff members you need to help you run the center effectively and hire them.

Step Six:

Have an open house. Since you have the party space and some of the other details for throwing a party, a great way to showcase your reception hall is to throw an open house party. Invite potential customers and potential referral sources to an open house party where they can preview the wedding reception hall and enjoy some refreshments, dancing and more. Advertise your open house through local newspapers, online city events calendars, and through the vendors with whom you have already spoken. Make sure your reception center is well-furnished and looks impeccable for the big day.

Step Seven:

Advertise. Contact bridal magazines and websites to ask about advertising space. Research local bridal shows and plan to host a booths at the events. Print full-color brochures with pictures of your reception hall to give to vendors, prospective clients, churches, bridal shops, and rental centers. Contact your local newspaper and ask for an interview about your newly opening hall.

Tips:

During the wedding off season (January, February, and March are the least popular wedding months), you may consider reaching out to other rental clients in order to fill your calendar. Corporate events, reunions, or other large gatherings will bring in cash while you build excitement for the coming wedding season.
